The watch winder, also known as self-winding watch box, is specially designed for automatic watches. It can wind automatic watches of different need through different program settings.

First of all, the automatic watch is not a quartz watch. It also need power. To be “automatic”, the premise is that the arms wearing the watch needs to move. If the arm with the automatic watch does not move enough, the watch will stop working. So you need to manually add power to the watch or put it into a watch winder to restore power.

Secondly, when you have more than one watch, those watches that are not worn will be locked in the wardrobe or drawer, which is not good for the watches. Once the automatic watch stops, in addition to taking time to recalibrate when wearing it next time, the stopped watch may cause various problems: for example, the lubricating oil becomes solidified, the time and date are inaccurate, and maintenance is required.

Therefore, the working principle of the watch winder is to make the automatic watch rotate through the box equipped with a micro-motor system, and simulate the human hand swing to provide the upper chord for the automatic watch. Different watches need different winding modes. Correct and proper winding can prevent unnecessary mechanical tension damage of the spring.
